Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics from “Hallelujah Today!” by Denise Rosier: “Running till my bones are aching, pushing past the point of breaking, The road is long but I will make it, that’s who I am. It’s not the race but how I’m running, not who I was—who I’m becoming. With every mile, I’m reminded, I never go empty-handed. Hear me now – I’m ringing out around the world! |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Centered in the Storm” by Richard Mekdeci, Karen Taylor-Good & Richard Patier” “I close my eyes and calm my soul, I feel the Truth within me and I let It take control. I’m centered in the storm and I know I’m not alone, When I’m centered in the storm where it’s always safe and warm, Fed by the love that exists in all creation and I will never drift off course. |

Leddy Hammock Lyric/poem inspired by “Leap of Faith” by Sue Riley (words by Sue Riley and Leddy Hammock): Long before the morning, not yet light enough to see, darkest before the dawning, Your love can still find me. When the wind’s against my vessel and the seas are tempest-tossed, I see You walking on the water. I hear You calling me across to make a leap of faith. Well, You know that I have been wandering—uncertain choices I’ve made and that always gets me to wondering. You tell me, “Don’t be afraid!” When the deep is dark beneath me and the waves leap high and rough You stretch out Your hand to reach me, when my faith’s not enough. |

Leddy Hammock God loves me and sees me well. The place for healing to happen is right here, right where I am. Right now, in this very moment, is my healing time. Now is the time for me to go within and discover that I already know how it feels to be whole, how to heal. |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics from “Spirit Is in this Place” words and music by Denise Rosier: We have come together as a family. We have come here as we are. We have come with hearts wide open. We have gathered here in love. Spirit’s in this place. We sing in celebration. We sing with words of prayer. We affirm all life as sacred. We declare that peace is here. Spirit is in this place . . . . Raise the roof with shouts of praise. Spirit’s in this place!” |

What Jesus taught has everything to do with love. When we are kind, we know we are not alone. What Jesus taught has everything to do with love. I choose love, no matter what others do. When we put our differences behind us, the world looks new. What Jesus taught has everything to do with love. Love is our trademark. There’s so much hope to hold onto, because what Jesus taught has everything to do with love. |

Leddy Hammock You might win a battle, you could win a race. Out run your rivals, come in first place. You could lose your center in the push and the shove, or simply surrender and tune into love. Love’s not a contest, it’s just who we are. Both the light and the shadow are at home in the heart. Beyond the struggle, there is music to play, and songs to be singing at the end of the day…. Love knows no boundaries, it’s the light in our eyes – familiar to all, universally prized. There’s a world of compassion and we’re good to begin. We could just quit fighting and let love win. When we’re up against too much to ask, when we lose our resistance at last and we realize love’s got our back, love wins. For everyone, great and small, we are lifted as we fall, kindness conquers all. Love wins. |

Leddy Hammock The LORD, our God, is One and God is Love. With love in my heart, I give love away. It all comes back and makes a better day. My only “enemies” are anger and fear thoughts. Being mean won’t help. I lift up those negative “inner mes” through loving thoughts and actions. Now is the time to do the right thing: to start letting go of fear and live with love in my heart.

Leddy Hammock “Used to be when things got crazy, I’d get to feeling low. But, I found out I can’t let that phase me …. Sometimes we all feel disconnected…. It’s kind of strange, but it’s true: when everything changes, I can change anything. Turning the pages, everything’s new. If life’s little stages are teaching me anything, it’s everything changes and I can change, too. |

Leddy Hammock We take to heart these mighty words of The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr., spoken in 1963, in our pledge for justice and compassion in every facet of our human interaction and in our spiritual expression: “As we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back.” “With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope . . . .” “With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together . . . .” “With this faith we will be able . . . to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day. . . . Let freedom ring!”

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics by Daniel Nahmod to “Everything New” — “Bring it on — everything new, everything different, everything true. I am ready for my next thing to do. Oh, I know it’s gonna be everything new. I’m through crying, I’m through waiting. I’m, through hoping against all hope. I’m through longing for something gone that’ll never return. I think I finally learned to bring it on. I think it’s time. “I’m through grieving, I’m through dreaming that the life I had is ever coming back. And no more wishing on someone else’s star, that’ll never be mine. I think it’s time to bring it on, everything new . . . . I’ve survived many times before, broken hearts and slammin’ doors. I’ll be all right, yes, I will, once more. Just as I did back then, I’m gonna rise again. So bring it on, everything new, everything different, everything true. I am ready for my next thing to do. Oh, I know, it’s gonna be everything new.” |

Leddy Hammock “I’m letting go of holding on. God is my shepherd, I shall not want. I’m letting go of holding on. Seeking first the kingdom of God. I let go of the feelings that feed on lack and greed. I let go of the reasons keeping me in need. I let go of the fear that there’s never enough. And I stop holding on, to what is not love. We breathe in, we breathe out, it’s all give and take. They’re one with each other, for all of goodness’ sake. The loaves and the fishes were blessed then released and barely enough, turned into a feast . . . . I’m letting go of holding on, seeking first the kingdom of God.” |

Leddy Hammock “Long ago, a child was born . . . who brought the gift of hope to you and me. Even if you don’t believe, there’s still a gift if you receive it from the heart of the Child of peace. When a child is born, they bring the gift of peace, an offering from the universe for all to see. In my heart, there is a space, pure and sacred, warm and safe, where the Child of peace is born in me. And so the seeds of peace are sown in fields of hope where love is grown. Now unto us the light has come, heavens work will soon be done and every soul that’s born will love increase. So, any time you see a child, greet them with a loving smile. Give your heart to the Child of peace. Child of peace, Pure and sweet, show me how to be a Child of peace.” |

Leddy Hammock God has prepared a feast for me and has set the table for me to enjoy every good thing. My mind set is to expect the best. In all my life, I give thanks in advance, expecting good and only good. I keep my table set. I believe that God’s will for all people is good and only good. There is always room for more people at our table. We can always set an extra plate. Although we may say grace in many ways, we all stay grateful. I’m grateful for the life that’s mine to live, grateful for the love that’s in my life, grateful for the gifts I have to give and the memories made around my kitchen table. |

I marvel at the beauty around me and within me, inspiring me to cherish Who I am. Thank You, God, as I celebrate the gift of each new day, I experience renewal with each breath I take and I discover deeper meaning in the moment I am living, rememb’ring still more clearly Who I am. Thank You, God, for Your healing grace and comfort in my need, as You guide me with a spark of perfect clarity, my heart is blessed with understanding of my promise and my vision, rejoicing in the Truth … receptive to the light … Restoring me to faith of who I am, realizing my own essence of I Am. |

Pour over me Holy Spirit, help me know how to let go. |

Leddy Hammock “If I could look down on this path I walk from somewhere way up high, I could see the crooked road that I have come. I walked a mile with sorrow, I walked a mile with joy and now I’m less afraid of either one.” “For every tear I’ve cried, there’s a smile that I have earned, for every mile I walked there’s a lesson I learned. I’m not lost, I am exploring. Life is an adventure worth enjoying. Though I may not know where I’m going, I am not lost, I am exploring.” “Some like me are seekers, we take less traveled roads, believing we can find a better way. And though I may get discouraged, I won’t be turning back. I have joy as my compass and faith as my map.” “All of us are headed for the same destination, so why not blaze a trail that’s got imagination? I’m not lost, I am exploring. Leddy Hammock God guides me through the “blues” with royal grace. I don’t have to pretend to be okay. At my royal command, the blues must leave me in peace. I don’t have to fight with depression. I am grateful for the love of God that lights my way through the “blues” to the victory of “Royal Blues.” |

Leddy Hammock “When you are in lack, speak with words of praise. If you count them, you will find your blessings will amaze. When you are in fear, spread the gift of love. The joy of calm and peace of mind surround you like a glove. When anger fills your heart, understanding is your gift, to put your life in harmony and give everyone a lift. When you are in pain, fill your mind with prayer, an awe-inspiring web of love supports you everywhere. Giving of yourself doesn’t cost you anything. But that gift is more valuable than any other you could bring. There’s something you can give that someone can embrace. Somebody will be happier, this world a better place. We all have gifts to give, making the whole world brighter. We have gifts to give, taking our spirits higher. When we give freely of our love, so much more love we receive. This is the wondrous pattern that we weave.” |

Leddy Hammock “I’m so caught up in all my stuff; no matter what I do, it’s never enough . . . . Avalanche of paper, no time to read. A moment to myself would be a friend indeed. Ninety miles an hour and standing still. If I don’t do it, nobody else will. Step back, slow down. Smell the roses and kiss the ground. Just breathe, don’t sweat it. Just slow down and you won’t regret it . . . . Slow and steady is the way to go.” |

Leddy Hammock “When all your dreams are hooked on a shooting star and the star falls down, remember how great you are. You are the guiding star you need…. Your day in the sun, the moment seems lost in time, when the sun sinks low, remember how bright you shine. You are the only light you need…. The road is long, and you feel weary. Take one more step, you are nearly home. Shadows of time, love that has passed you by and your hope runs out. Give it just one more try. Love may be closer than you think. Don’t stop now. You’re closer than you think. |

Leddy Hammock “If I seek the Truth, let me speak the Truth. If I’m lost in doubt, let me believe. I know I can be the change I want to see. If it’s to be, it’s up to me. If I’m feeling stressed, let me stop and rest. If I’m feeling hurt, let me forgive. I know I can be the change I want to see. If it’s to be, it’s up to me. If I dream of peace, let me live in peace. Leddy Hammock “Keep your eyes on the prize, but don’t fret if you stray, because the most important thing is who you become along the way. It’s how you love, how you live, how you laugh, how you give. Yes, the most important thing is who you become along the way.” |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Do What I Can Do” by Sue Riley, Richard Mekdeci, and Gary Lynn Floyd: “Look around, what do I see? Good or bad, it’s up to me. My world reflects what I believe. Here’s what I believe. I know there’s good in everyone. I know the best is yet to come. Look out world, ‘cause I’m not done, I’ve only just begun . . . . I’ll choose compassion over fear, release my love into the atmosphere. Like a single wave in an endless sea, any change begins with me. And, when I feel I’m all alone, I’ll remember, one drop of water smooths a stone. Gonna, love like crazy, shine like gold, be courageous, break the mold. Can’t do it all, but this much is true. I can do what I can do.” |

Inspired by lyrics from “Sweeping Up My Own Side of the Street” by Sue Riley & Melinda Wood Allen: “Taking time to stop and smell the roses on the way, planting what I want to see, pruning what’s not serving me, tending my own garden every day. I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Every step I take just moves me closer to my dreams. Your grass might be a brighter green. That’s for you, not for me. I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Not gonna be the one to cast a stone. Won’t point a finger at your faults, got plenty of my own. ‘Cause, when I toss that judgment thing, it comes back like a boomerang. I’m sweeping up my own side of the street, clearing out the clutter, pulling up the weeds, finding out it’s quite enough just taking care of my own stuff, sweeping up my own side of the street.” |

If you ask me “Who am I?” I am wisdom, I am light. If you ask me “What am I?” I am beauty, I am joy. I can choose to be the light that brightens someone’s darkest night. I’m so much more than meets the eye. I cannot be defined. I am the thinker who thinks the thought that changes things that shape my life. I am the thinker who thinks the thought. Leddy Hammock Better days are coming, better times are near. . . . Change is never easy, but it starts inside ourselves, something very possible to do. The door to the heart only opens from inside, and if we’re brave enough to step on through, better days will come for me and you. In the darkest hour, light comes shining through. Days will be much brighter, lived anew. Better days will come for me and you. |

Listen to your Father, no matter the reason, the hour of the night, the time or the season, no matter what your trouble is, you can count on Him…. When the rain is fallin’ and your heart is heavy and your candle’s burning dim…. When the money’s gone and the lights go out, when you’re feelin’ sad and full of doubt…. Life can get a little bumpy when you’re on your own, but Someone who loves you never leaves you alone. No matter what, He’ll be there for you. No matter what, He’s gonna care for you. No matter what your trouble is, you can count on Him.… No matter if there’s so much noise that you can’t hear His voice…. No matter; ask Him one more time. Stay calm, Father will fix it again. You can count on Him. |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by “Allowing” by Susie Hulcher: “It’s all about allowing, allowing peace within, in absolute surrender so serenity begins. For when the storm subsided, and calm becomes a wave, it’s all about allowing it to stay. It’s all about allowing, allowing love to flow. It’s setting down your burden and just simply letting go. For as you cease to struggle and love pours through your heart, it’s all about allowing it to start. Now, feel it warm and shining, new with promise, strong, undying, Love different than any you have known. And, now the seed is sown. It’s all about allowing, allowing change to show, then living in the moment like it’s all you’ll ever know; and though it won’t be easy, you can truly say you tried, for it’s all about allowing it inside.” |

“In the kingdom of love there is no competition. There is no contradiction, and no control. But you can take possession, and claim your passion, working on a building that cannot be bought or sold. Step into the feeling of sweet surrender, let yourself remember who you are. You can take your own sweet time, and ease your troubled mind in the secret sanctuary of the heart. There is room for all the kindness you can hold, and you know that you can take it with you everywhere you go. Living in the House of the Soul’s Belonging, where you know without a doubt that you’ve made it home, living in the House of the Soul’s belonging, coming back to the holy ground that you’ve always known.” |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by “This Thing Called Life” by Faith Rivera: “Today is the day I will change my luck. I will find three pennies and they’ll be heads up. I will walk like a queen in my tennis and jeans ‘cause I know where I come from. From the stars and the sun, from the magical One, I am part of this thing called Life. From the known to unseen, ev’rything in between, I am part of this thing called Life. I am one with this thing called life. Today is the day I’ll remember to see only good, only God happening through you and me. I will not forget all the treasures due me ‘cause I know where I come from. Leddy Hammock Lyrics by “What a Little Moonlight Can Do” (Sue Riley, Sloan Wainwright, Glen Roethel, Dan Johnson) “Sitting in the silence, listening to the clouds touch the ground, everything a softer hue, as I take the time to look around. Life blurred at the edges, all the world bathed in silver sunshine. I gaze up at the heavens, moon and stars so close, yet far away Dreaming, dreaming with my eyes wide open, flying, flying with both feet on the ground . . . . Ready to shine my own moon magic. |

Leddy Hammock I practice an attitude of gratitude. My prayers are answered as I share generously from my grateful heart. The grateful heart draws to itself great things. Perfect answers take form as I keep a good and grateful attitude. |

Leddy Hammock There been times that I thought I couldn’t last for long, But now I think I’m able, I’m able, to carry on. It’s been a long time comin’, but change is gonna come. I know that a change is gonna come one day.” – “Sam Cooke, “A Change Is Gonna Come” (1963) |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics by Scott Ainslie to “Cold in Here” “I thought I felt a little cool breeze come through. What shall we do? Don’t it feel cold in here to you? Turn up the heat. Warm up your feet.” Loving, patient, and warm words take the chill out of the air between us – from the top of our heads to the tip of our toes. “Turn on the light, nothing seems right.” It’s up to me to turn to the light that shines within, even when things seem dark. When I look with love, I let the light come on again. “Come back again, I’ll make you laugh, just wait and see. It’s all right. Day breaks the night.” Our inner Voice tells us that the sun always comes up again. It feels so right to know that we can get past the tears and laugh again. “What’s done is past. Love’s all that lasts.” When it feels “cold in here,” we shall remember that love is the “good kind” of global warming. |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics by Sue Riley and JD Martin to “My Hearts Desire”: My heart’s desire – God’s will for me of good and only good – has been right here all the time. I am ready to live the dream that was always mine. It is never too late to find my heart’s desire. My good cannot be kept from me. Fear thoughts and excuses are now all swept away, I am ready now, today, for my heart’s desire. My heart’s desire (my spiritual birthright of infinite good) has always been right here for me and God wants me to accept it!

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics of the song “There Are Moments” by Sue Riley, Richard Mekdeci, and Harold Payne “The first breath of the morning whispers in my ear: ‘You’ve got it all inside you.’ I open my heart and it appears! Even in an ordinary day in an ordinary life, there’s beauty all around me when I look up to see it. I don’t want to miss the rainbows! “There are moments, there are moments, where magic happens unexpectedly. There are moments, precious moments, where the wonder of the world is all I see.” |

Leddy Hammock This is my healing formula: God loves me and sees me well. The place for healing to happen is right here, right where I am. Right now, in this very moment, is my healing time. I already know how to heal. God speaks my healing formula to me in the silence of prayer: “I trust you to go within to discover you already know how it feels to be whole, how to heal.” |

Leddy Hammock I don’t have to feel “blue.” I can choose my moods like I choose my music. I won’t let go until I find a blessing in everything that happens. We are children of the Light. We build each other up by letting go of the blues and looking up to blue skies! |

Magie Cook Inspired by “I Made Room for Grace” by Sue Riley: When I stumble, I won’t be defeated, since I make room for grace. I stop resisting. I make room for grace. I just step aside, open up a space, and make room for grace. Now the blessings arrive every day, since I made room for grace. |

Leddy Hammock My Jar Full of Blessings: I have an open and receptive attitude, for God’s will for me is good and only good. I have an attitude of gratitude for all the lessons I am learning. I have an attitude of trust in God to guide me and provide for me. I have an attitude of interest and appreciation for all the good God has for me. |

Leddy Hammock In this wonderful life, I reap what I sow. All God’s good is mine to give and to receive. My life is God’s gift to me; what I do with my life is my gift to God and to the world. I am a good worker: I serve with a song in my heart and I give thanks to God, my Source. My job is to live the good life: to do my best, to love, and to grow. I love my job! “This Life is Mine” by Melinda Wood Allen |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Pray” by Susan Clark There are no magic words for me to say, for God hears me anyway. Each day holds a blessing that is only a thought away. There is no magic place I need to go, no secret handshake I need to know. My mind is open to the blessings that are only a thought away. There is no magic wand for me to wave. There is no special mantra I need to say. My hands are open to the blessings that are only a thought away. I turn the key that unlocks the door to faith when I pray. I open the door to God’s power when I pray |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Let ‘Em See Your Strong” by Tia McGraff/Tommy Parham/Devon O’Day “Let ’em see your strong. Let ’em see you’re willing to keep goin’. Let ’em see your power comes from somewhere they can’t fathom. Let ’em see you smile when a tear might serve you better. The road is long. Let ’em see your strong. Let ’em see your burn. Let ’em know they can’t put out your passion. Let ’em see your fire comes from a calling that’s forever. Let ’em see you fly when falling comes so easy. It’s how you learn. Let ’em see your burn. The darkest night can’t hide the smallest flame. And, Darlin’, there’s only one candle with your name. So let ’em see your light. Let ’em see how God just keeps you shining. Let ’em see your best even when you don’t feel like trying. Let ’em see a star that was born to be a beacon shining bright. Let ’em see your light. The road is long. Let ’em see your strong.” |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics from “One Step” by Harold Payne: “I get my inspiration from the words of the children. I’m trying to teach myself what they already know. If I can show my fellow man what a child can understand then the seeds that I have sown will surely grow. If I take one step in the right direction. If I touch one heart along the way. And if that one step becomes a chain reaction, then my journey has not been in vain.” |

Inspired by lyrics to “Go Out and Shine” by Sue Riley, Glen Roethel, and Melinda Wood Allen: Keeping my thoughts centered on what I want to see in my life and letting kindness be my guide, I go out and shine my light! I see the world, not as it seems, but as I am, and I am in unity with God: one voice, one hand, one heart. If I want a change, I make a start. I go out and shine! I am a child of God and I act like one. I am a radiating center of peace and love. I go out and shine my light! It is up to me to see the world and all its people rightly – as God’s children. We’re one big family and what’s good for you is good for me. Let’s go out and shine! |

Leddy Hammock “There’s a new church on the horizon, made of light, not of stone, calling now to all creation, ‘You are not alone.’ We are One Heart, looking for answers. We are One Soul, finding our way through the dark. Hold out your hand. Someone will take it and bring you home again. One dream, we share together. We are all a part of One Heart.” We are One Heart, looking for answers, sharing this eternal quest for our own indwelling Christ. |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics from “Gone!” by Faith Rivera and David Roth: “Gone – all the baggage that has burdened me. Gone – all the troubles I no longer need. Now is the moment that I do release – it’s gone!” “Gone is the weight that had me slowin’ down. Gone are the habits that I kept around. Now is the moment that I do release — it’s gone!” “Gone – all the baggage, I am finally free. Gone – all the troubles, I am finally me. Now is the moment that I do release – it’s gone!” “My loss is my gain. I am changing. I’m free, I’m through. I’m strong, I am new. It’s gone!” |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Let It Out” by Faith Rivera and Richard Mekdeci: “I have within me greater power than that I have used, more life than I have lived, more strength than I have known.” “I have within me, greater dreams to come true, more willingness to change, more love to give away,” “I have within me greater wealth for me to share, more potential to reveal, more beauty every day.” I am ready to express my divine potential and shine my light! |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “My Every Notion” by Sue Riley and Glen Roethel Words I say come back to me. I choose my words carefully. With my thoughts and words, I build my life. As I speak, my words have power. My life opens like a flower. This is why I know: My every notion puts energy In motion. What I say is what I get. So, when I feel I’ve lost my way, I find perfect words to say. I look within, I make the choice, I take a breath, I lift my voice. Words and thoughts are seeds that grow. This is why I know: My every notion puts energy in motion! |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “What I Seek Is Seeking Me” by Sue Riley/Jana Stanfield The whisper that I hear In my heart is telling me it’s time to start to become the me I’m here to be. “What I seek is seeking me, even when that’s hard to see.” “It’s time to just let go of my fear, trusting that the net will appear, believe that things I know are true in everything I say and do.” “I choose faith, so I believe! What I seek is seeking me.” |

“We Remember Them” by Rabbis Sylvan Kamens & Jack Fiemer (1975) “At the rising of the sun and at its going down…. At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter…. At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them.” “At the shining of the sun and in the warmth of summer…. At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember them.” “At the beginning of the year and at its end…. When we have decisions… to make, when we have achievements that are based on theirs …. when we fulfill their dreams, and our own, we remember them.” “As long as we live, they too will live: For they are now a part of us, as we remember them.” |

Leddy Hammock Lyrics from “Morning Sun” by Ariel Thiermann: “LITTLE ONE, IN MY ARMS, I WILL KEEP YOU SAFE FROM HARM. SWEET DREAMER, HOW YOU GLOW, AS I ROCK YOU, SOFT AND SLOW. YOU SHINE SO BRIGHT, LIKE THE MORNING SUN. YOU SHARE YOUR LIGHT WITH EVERYONE. I’M GONNA LOVE YOU THROUGH IT ALL, WATCH YOU FLY AND WATCH YOU FALL, HELP YOU LEARN, HELP YOU GROW, ROCK YOU SOFT AND ROCK YOU SLOW. I’M GONNA LOVE YOU.” |

Leddy Hammock We are unique and precious beings, always doing the best our current consciousness allows as we grow up spiritually. It is up to me to decide what kind of world I am helping to create for the children today and the children of the future. To have a world that is peaceful and kind, fair and joyous, I must speak to every child of God in the language of love. For this precious place, for every young face, I am ready to be all that I can be to show every boy and girl what kind of wonderful world we are now creating together. |

Leddy Hammock “Wake up, lay down the burden. Leave it alone, it’s time to move on.” “Step up with a light heart. Live out the best of your life!” |

Leddy Hammock “The road is long but I will make it! That's who I am! It's not the race, but how I'm running, not who I was, but who I'm becoming. With every mile I'm reminded that I never go empty-handed. God is my strength. I'm never stranded. I'm not alone. Hallelujah today! Calling out like a siren of good and peace and joy resounding! In every song I sing, in every part of me, in everything — Hallelujah! |

Leddy Hammock From Peter Mayer’s song, “Holy Now” — “I remember feeling sad that miracles don’t happen still. But now I can’t keep track . . . ‘cause everything’s a miracle…. See another new morning come and say it’s not a sacrament – I tell you that it can’t be done. This morning, outside I stood and saw a little red-winged bird, shining like a burning bush, singing like a scripture verse. It made me want to bow my head. I remember when church let out, how things have changed since then. Everything is holy now. It used to be a world half-there, heaven’s second rate hand-me-down. But I walk it with a reverent air, ‘cause everything is holy now.” |

Daniel Nahmod From lyrics by Daniel Nahmod to “Raising the Veil” “I’m raising the veil between me and my God. I want to know you, O God . . . . I want to praise you. O God . . . . I’m raising the veil between me and my God. No separation. |

Leddy Hammock Lyrics to “Divine Order” by Leddy Hammock/Sue Riley (“12 Women of the Chalice” CD). “Let there be less of me. Let there be more of Thee – less of the human, more of the Divine, less that belongs to me, more that is Thine, more of God’s nature, less that is mine. Not personality: Individuality. More of the Christ Self, shining through me. Teach me humility; let me your servant be. Give me serenity, selfless and free. Let there be less of me, let there be more of Thee – less of the human, more of the divine.” |

Leddy Hammock From lyrics to “Get Ready, My Soul” by Daniel Nahmod: “Everything I’ve ever done, everything I’ve ever seen, everything I’ve lost or won, everything I’ve ever dreamed, has brought me here to the present moment, here, to a new beginning, here and I’m seeing life so clearly now.”
Here I go, deeper, deeper, deeper than I’ve ever been before. Here I go, close, closer, closer to my sacred Source.” “Get ready, my soul. I’m divin’ in. Get ready, my soul. I’m divin’ in to the deepest kind of love, to the sweetest kind of life, Get ready, get ready, my soul. |

Leddy Hammock “Moving forward through uncharted water with only my heart as my guide, one thing I know for certain: what I need is a leap of faith. I know if I start to falter, You’ll give me the strength to go on. Though I might waver, I’m certain of this: what I’m needing is a leap of faith. I need faith to believe in the wisdom of change. As I follow in trust, when my ways are not enough, I need a leap of faith. Though it’s hard to let go of the comfort in the things I would be leaving behind, the first step I need to consider, is a big one — it’s a leap of faith.” |

Leddy Hammock I am not here by accident. I am here in this place by divine appointment. Since God is everywhere equally present, whenever I turn my attention to the presence of the Good, I dwell in the House of the Lord. Wherever I am–either alone or gathered with others in prayer– my heart is in a holy place. In Genesis, we read that Jacob fell asleep, alone in the wilderness; when he awoke, he declared: “Surely the LORD is in this place and I knew it not” (Genesis 28:16, King James Version). Wherever I am, wherever I journey, I can always pause and pray. I feel instantly safe and divinely guided as I affirm: “Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place!” |

Leddy Hammock If only I realize that there is something wonderful about myself and all people — something worth saving! If only I believe that God is not far away from me, or too mysterious for me to understand, but right here within me, ready to be expressed! If only I listen for the guidance of the Christ within me and just trust in God’s love! If only I remember that the Spirit of God is within me and that I am a child of God, worthy of every good thing! |

Leddy Hammock From lyrics to “Resolve to Evolve” by Robert D. Anderson: “You won’t find no peace of mind ‘til you learn that life can be more – You can: Resolve to evolve – Get on the spiritual path Resolve to evolve – Give your brain a metaphysical bath You can resolve to evolve – Leave your mental baggage behind It may sound strange but the world won’t change ‘til you re-arrange your mind.” |

From Celebrate Yourself! by Eric Butterworth: “As whole beings, we are masculine and feminine and a well-adjusted life demands a balance between the two . . . . The missing link in the affairs of people and nations today can only be bridged by the activity of the divine feminine. There is a great need for the universal emancipation of the qualities of love and forgiveness and kindness and patience and faith and prayer. Declare your freedom by affirming: I am a whole creature In God. I walk and work in wisdom and good judgment, and I now let God’s perfect love have its way in and through me. With this balance of love and wisdom, I am an integrated expression of the activity of God. I am free and relaxed and successful. I am a radiating center of peace and harmony in the world” |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “If You Want To Be Happy” (Words and music by Sloan Wainwright, Sue Riley, Jana Stanfield): “Don’t believe all that you think – if you want to be happy.” “If you want to be happy, be careful what you say. You can't make yourself feel better putting other people down. “Focus on the things you have, not what you haven't got – if you want to be happy.” “Give up control.” “Trust the Mystery – if you want to be happy.” |

Leddy Hammock From Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, 1963: “As we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back.” “With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope . . . .” “With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together . . . .” “With this faith we will be able . . . to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day . . . . Let freedom ring!” |
