Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Pay Attention” Joyce Johnson Rouse (Earth Mama), based on wisdom attributed to Chief Seattle): Pay attention to the trees, pay attention to the river. Pay attention to the bees. Pay attention to the weather. Pay attention to the waters, to the dreams, to the forests, to the streams. Pay attention to the glaciers, to the breeze, to the frost line and the coastline and the coral beneath the seas. Pay attention to the wisdom, to the brothers and sisters living close to the Earth. We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors. We are just borrowing it from our children. This we know: The Earth does not belong to us. We belong ….to the Earth.

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Love Is Everything” by Denise Rosier: Love is the power that moves like the mighty sea, the peace that brings wars to cease. Love is everything. Love is the voice that calls us into being. It’s the joy that makes a songbird sing, the word that every language speaks, the Name that is above all things. Love is everything. Love can’t hide, be pushed aside, or be unseen. It’s you and me. Love is everything. Love stands beside us. It goes before us. Love is everything. It moves around us, it restores us. Love is everything. |

Leddy Hammock Lyrics to “I Don’t Need To Know (for God knows)” by Daniel Nahmod I don’t need a master plan. I can live here in the moment, for my life is in good hands. I don’t need to know what the future holds, for God knows. It comes so clear to me, that the minute I surrender, I’m as safe as I could be. I can just let go, for God knows.

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Hold onto Love” buy Roger Tomhave & Dan Johnson: Live this love through all your days and make this world a better place. You can search for love; you can hope and pray. Love’s most easily found when given away. Hold onto love. Hold on. Let love be our choice each day. With these words we pray: Hold on to love. Hold on. Live through love, not through fear. Take a stand for all that’s right. Shun the darkness, be the light. Hold on to love. Hold on. |

Leddy Hammock From lyrics to “Like a Boomerang” by Robert Anderson: Every little thing that you say and do, just like a boomerang, it will come back to you. Every time you fight against something new, just like a boomerang, it will come back to you. Every single thought that you hold as true, just like a boomerang, it will come back to you. After you were born, you forgot what is true, but like a boomerang, it will come back to you. You may not recall what you came here to do, but like a boomerang, it will come back to you. All that you desire, when you ask it to, just like a boomerang, it will come back to you. |

Leddy Hammock Lyrics from “Healing in the Hands of Time” by Karen Taylor-Good & Lisa Aschmann: God has a gentle salve for the wounded, a pillow for the weary soul. God is the only hope for some broken hearts. God is time and makes us whole. God is taking us all on a journey, knows exactly ev’ry inch of this road and, if we could only see farther down it, we would know as God knows. God, Father Time, the Master of Surprises, will surprise us once again. We’re all healing in the hands of time.

Look out world, ‘cause I’m not done, I’ve only just begun…. I’ll choose compassion over fear, release my love into the atmosphere. Like a single wave in an endless sea, any change begins with me. Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “The Grand Design” by Greg Tamblyn: “…We’re all threads in a tapestry, woven together, your life and mine, ‘till our hearts and roads are intertwined. The road of life may lead us far from where we all begin, but sooner or later, Our path divides, we take our chances, and pray our loved ones will understand us…. We navigate by heart. But, in time, we come to learn that every road is part of the Grand Design…. We could rise up high, see the long road, how far we’ve come and where we’ll go, see how our pathway crosses the others, we know how much we need each other. In this living tapestry, each thread is someone’s road and one day, from a higher place, we may know the Grand Design. It’s something I believe and now I find it comforts me. I’ve come to love the mystery. |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Your True Calling” by Jana Stanfield: When you hear a voice, no one else can hear, yet it’s clear and loud, ringing in your ear. And you finally know, what it’s time to do, that’s your true calling, calling you. When your heart’s wide open ’cause your mind’s been changed and the dreams you dream are not the same, there’s a gate that’s open, you can walk right through. That’s your true calling, calling you. You ask yourself, “Is this a voice I can trust?” You think you can’t, but you know that you must. You’re afraid you’ll fall, if you let go. But, there’s only one way you’ll ever know. Those wings you keep folded are meant to be used when your true calling is calling you. There’s a gate that’s open, you can walk right through, that’s your true calling, calling you! |

Leddy Hammock Negative expectations come to nothing, while positive and loving thoughts are manifesting now. Every good thought, like an angel presence, goes before me to make my way easy, safe, prosperous, and happy. Leddy Hammock Lyrics to “It’s a Brand New Day” (by Glen Roethel, Sue Riley & Richard Mekdeci): “It’s a brand new day…. The power of love has rolled that stone away…. It’s a brand new day! Faith can move a mountain, part that stormy sea. Love can be a fountain pouring over me. Hope can build a future so we can truly say, the past is past, free at last, it’s a brand new day! The power of love has rolled that stone away…. Doubts become believing that death can be destroyed. Painful loss and grieving, can open us to joy. A dawn of resurrection can chase our fears away. The past is past, free at last, it’s a brand new day! The power of love has rolled that stone away! … It’s a brand new day.” |

Leddy Hammock Highlights from lyrics to “Hallelujah Today!” by Denise Rosier: With every mile, I’m reminded I never go empty-handed. God is my strength, I’m never stranded. I’m not alone. Every breath in me proclaims, Hallelujah today! The road is long, but I will make it, that’s who I am. It’s not the race but how I’m running, not who I was, who I’m becoming. Steady on, I’ll finish strong on this path. Hear me now, I’m ringing out around the world! In every song I sing, in every part of me, in everything! Every breath in me proclaims, Hallelujah today!

Leddy Hammock Lyrics from “Holy Now” by Peter Mayer: “When I was in Sunday school, we would learn about the time Moses split the sea in two and Jesus made the water wine . . . .” “I remember feeling sad, miracles don’t happen still, and now I can’t keep track, ‘cause ev’rything’s a miracle . . . .” “When holy water was rare at best, it barely wet my fingertips. Now, I have to hold my breath, like I’m swimmin’ in a sea of it. . . .” “This mornin’ outside I stood. I saw a little red wing bird, shining like a burning bush and singing like a scripture verse. Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Wholehearted” by Jan Garrett and JD Martin There’s a new Church on the horizon, made of light, not of stone, calling now to all creation, “You are not alone.” We are One Heart, looking for answers. Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics from “Rising in Love” by David Roth I always find it surprising, the way people say that they’re falling in love when I always thought I was rising, floating right off of the ground and reaching something that I only have dreamed of. I’m not falling at all; I am rising in love. Everyone talks about tying the knot, … but the feeling of love should be freeing – lifting each other up instead of giving one another a shove. We won’t be falling at all; we’ll be rising in love. How do you let love grow? You’ve got to give it a chance when you’ve found it. We won’t be falling at all; we’ll be rising in love. The deeper the river, the greater the trust and the more that we’re rising above. |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics by Leddy Hammock to a song by Sue Riley, “Leave those Walls Behind” from the double CD set with “Twelve Women of the Chalice” (2008): Sounds of the city, the life I knew, fade in the background and drift away. As I turn to face the window, to the open blue, new life is calling to me. It says, “Come with me, Beloved, leave those walls behind, for a land of milk and honey— a promised land, leave those walls behind.” Oh, I’ve taken care of others, of ev’ryone but me. Closed in these walls, no room to breathe, I can only save them by choosing to be free. New life is calling to me. It says, “Come with me, Beloved, leave those walls behind, for a land of milk and honey– a promised land. Leave those walls behind. “No more looking out with longing, hiding here within. Now I fin’ly have the courage to step outside. I’ve shaken off my sorrow, no more waiting to begin. New life is calling to me. It says, “Come with me, Beloved, leave those walls behind, |

Inspired by lyrics from “Takin’ Back My Day” by JD Martin, Jan Garrett, and Richard Mekdeci: It’s a beautiful start to a brand new morning. Then, out of the blue, without warning, I let a little thing like a gnat in my tea steal away my sanity. In the midst of it all, when I stumble and fall, I know I’m gonna be ok. I’d start to feel the beat, I get back on my feet, and I dance away, takin’ back my day! . . . Standin’ in my shoes, I know what to do—takin’ back my day! Just a slight adjustment, is really all it takes. See the great big picture, ‘stead of all the mistakes. Oh, I just smile at the things on my list—can’t stay inside on a day like this. In the midst of it all, when I stumble and fall, I know I’m gonna be okay, I start to feel the beat, I get back on my feet, and I dance away, takin’ back my day! … Takin’ back my day, standin’ in my shoes, I got the right moves, takin’ back my day. There’s a blue sky over my head. I got a spring in my step. You can bet the best is just a breath away, Takin back my day! Dancin’ in my shoes, I got the right moves—takin’ back my day! |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “A New Earth” by Jill Colucci, Harold Payne, and JD Martin: “Trying to hold it together when it feels like it’s falling apart…. We can’t hide forever. We’ve got to figure it out—a new earth, a new dawn, a new way to move on, a new dream, deep in our hearts, we need it now, some way, somehow, now more than ever, we need a new earth. Are we willing to give and take, to reach across a great divide, we’ve got to stand on some common ground to survive. If we pull together, imagine all that we can create, a new earth, a new dawn, a new way to move on, a new dream, deep in our hearts, we need it now, someway, somehow, now more than ever, we need a new earth. I can hear the children cryin’ now, ‘Oh, won’t you help us save our future now?’ So let your healing rain fall from the clouds, a new earth, a new dawn, a new way to move on, a new hope, deep in our hearts, we need it now, some way, somehow, now more than ever, we need a new earth. Now more than ever, we’ll build it together, a new earth.” |

Leddy Hammock Inspired by lyrics to “Centered in the Storm” by Richard Mekdeci, Karen Taylor-Good & Richard Patier” “I close my eyes and calm my soul, I feel the Truth within me and I let It take control. I’m centered in the storm and I know I’m not alone, When I’m centered in the storm where it’s always safe and warm, Fed by the love that exists in all creation and I will never drift off course. |

Leddy Hammock Lyric/poem inspired by “Leap of Faith” by Sue Riley (words by Sue Riley and Leddy Hammock): Long before the morning, not yet light enough to see, darkest before the dawning, Your love can still find me. When the wind’s against my vessel and the seas are tempest-tossed, I see You walking on the water. I hear You calling me across to make a leap of faith. Well, You know that I have been wandering—uncertain choices I’ve made and that always gets me to wondering. You tell me, “Don’t be afraid!” When the deep is dark beneath me and the waves leap high and rough You stretch out Your hand to reach me, when my faith’s not enough. |

Leddy Hammock While I go walkin’, you know I’ll be smiling. The sun’ll be shining,’cause all day long I’m gonna sing my song. I’ve got my problems, my problems, but not today. I’ve got no problems today.” |

Daniel Nahmod Inspired by lyrics by Daniel Nahmod Make my day, LORD. You are always with me, wherever I may travel. I ride the wind and sky and my day is made perfect with possibilities. LORD, You are All Power, All Knowingness, All Love – everywhere and always, Infinite Presence — making my wonderful day. “If I dream I’m on an island . . . somehow in my mind, the sunshine on my face becomes Your hand.” “I praise you, so wonderfully You made me; |

Radical Forgiveness I am ready, right now, for radical forgiveness.
I fearlessly go forward, ready to forgive and to be forgiven, every new moment.
Whatever wrongs may have been done in error, through ignorance, I now affirm with radical faith that God is working in and through every situation and everyone for good.
Radical forgiveness means “giving for” – Truth for error, faith in place of fear, mercy for condemnation.
As I forgive, I, too, am forgiven, with endless grace.
The Christ within all has unlimited authority to forgive – radically – and forgiveness heals!

Radical Thinking If I want radical positive changes in my life, I must do some positively radical thinking!
Wanting to “get even” is ordinary. Getting rid of enemies by turning them into friends is radical.
Wanting attention by playing the victim is ordinary. Practicing the Presence is radical!
Accepting failure, giving up, blaming others – all that is ordinary. Persistently expecting good outcomes and living by the Golden Rule – now, that is RADICAL!

Pure Possibility (inspired by lyrics by Claudia Carawan): I am pure possibility, regardless of labels placed upon me. I am precious, I am free, I am a child of God, and that makes me royalty! Within every soul, we are perfect and whole – one of a kind – pure possibility! |

The Solution The Christ in me works in harmony with the Christ in others. Working for justice and compassion brings peace to the heart. The solution to every problem is a higher spiritual consciousness. Spirit works through me to bring about the highest good for all concerned. |

With every breath, divine Life now breathes through me. With every breath, infinite creativity now breathes through me. With every breath, divine Light now breathes through me. With every breath, the Christ Spirit breathes wisdom, wholeness, and happiness into every aspect of my life and I now receive the Holy Spirit. |

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways” (Job 22:28 KJV). Jesus said: “Only say the word . . .” (Mt. 8:8, NAB). “With my thoughts, I build my life. Words I say come back to me; so, I choose my words carefully. What you say is what you get – a lifetime guarantee. I look within, I make the choice. I take a breath and lift my voice. As I speak, my words have power and my life opens like a flower. Words and thoughts are seeds that grow, this is why I know that my every notion puts energy in motion!” |

I am restless for freedom. With each new morning come new opportunities for growth. Through each experience, I am called to pursue my spiritual destiny. Wherever I go, there I am, ever on the move to find inner peace. Yet, the more teachable I become, the less I resist changes, and the easier my journey. Ships are safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for. |

With just a little faith, mountains are moved. Even through my tears, I still believe that God is good, all the time. I look for good outcomes, even in fearful circumstances. My faith is in the silver lining, not in the storm. |

“When the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, they took palm branches and went out to meet him, and cried out: ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ . . . . So the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from death . . . went to meet him, because they heard that he had done this sign” (John 12:12-18). Into Your hands, God, I commend my Spirit. |

I am an idea in the Mind of God. I let God’s idea express in me and as me. I am what I think. I am daily changed into a likeness truer to God’s image of me. God’s world is the real world. In God’s world I am loved as I really am. In God, I live, and move, and have my being. In me, God lives, moves, and has expression as my real Self. |

The Book of Jonah is a classic example of a soul trying to escape following through with divine guidance. God told him to go to Nineveh and preach the word of God, and he got on a ship and went in another direction, instead. I learn from the story of Jonah and resolve instead to follow God’s guidance. In the words of Daniel Nahmod’s beautiful song (“Inside (to Find My God”): “I will leave this world as it is, go inside to find my God. Inside there is peace, inside there is joy, inside there is more than enough. I will leave this life as it is, go inside to find my God. Inside, there is peace, inside there is joy, inside there is sacred love.” I go first to God, and then take outer steps (head to my “Nineveh”) if and as God directs, and I am delivered. |

This lesson speaks to the heart: it is taken from the Book of Psalms and from the lyrics to a song by Tom Kimmel. The title says it all: “No One Gets to Heaven If Anybody Else Is Left Behind.” “How many say of me, ‘God will not save that one,’ But you, LORD, are a shield around me; my glory, you keep my head high” (Ps. 3). “No one gets to heaven if anybody else is left behind.” “You, LORD, give light to my lamp; my God brightens the darkness about me” (Ps.18). “There is a light when we need it the most.” “You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever” (Ps. 16). “There is a way through this world if we keep this in mind . . . .” “Some had lost their way in a barren desert; found no path . . . . In their distress they cried to the LORD, who rescued them in their peril, guided them by a direct path” (Ps.107). “No one gets to heaven if any body else is left behind.” |

I am made in the divine image and likeness of my Father-Mother God. The divine masculine and the divine feminine express in all creation. “Mankind” is really humankind – divine beings who image like God images. Everybody is somebody’s child, and everybody is a Child of God, Who loves us with an everlasting love. |

My every notion is energy in motion! As I hold to the Truth I love, my thoughts become things, and my dreams become manifest. If my dreams seem undoable, I cheer up and try again. Head up, I carry on and my dreams become visible. My dreams are destined for fulfillment for they are inspired by God, the Able-To-Do-All-Things! I am unstoppable! Anything is possible, for I believe! |

I accept my healing – through whatever means, whether it happens instantly or takes however long it takes. I am in the healing mode, right now! No matter how long I have suffered, I know that I have enough faith to reach out and accept my healing. No matter how helpless I feel or long I have felt this way, I am ready to be set free. No more waiting for permission. It is time for me to claim my healing! |
